The game takes place in the criminal neighborhoods of California in 1992 – the height of crime. The main character (Karl Johnson, aka CJ) arrives in Los Santos to attend his mother’s funeral. At the cemetery, he meets his relatives and old friends, who are soon attacked by the local Mexican gang, the Ballas. After this incident, CJ slowly starts joining his friends’ criminal lives and once again becomes a member of the Groove Street Gang. The main task of the game is to return the territories that previously belonged to your gang and, contrary to prohibitions, marry Kendall, who in turn is engaged to the head of the Mexican gang, with which she herself is not happy.

As in the console/desktop versions, the game is played from a third person, i.e. we see the character from the side. The action combines action and car simulation. It provides the player with an open world for study and travel, consisting of three cities, with a total area of 36 square metres. how much. For movement, you can use completely different vehicles: bicycles, scooters, cars and trucks, tanks, helicopters, boats and others. What can you have as you want – Did you like the car at traffic lights? You are a gangster, don’t be shy – ditch the driver and drive wherever you want.
The game often deals with organized crime and the police. If the former can be roughly dealt with (using an impressive arsenal of cold steel and firearms), then it is better to hide from the latter, otherwise helicopters and special forces units may be sent for you.
The main difference between GTA and other action games is freedom of action. You can do story missions filled with cutscenes and dialogues, or you can engage in lawlessness among them, stealing, killing, bombing, and even going to different establishments: hairdressers, gyms, strip clubs, shops. The game contains a lot of different items of clothing, accessories and hairstyles. You can also control the build of your hero – in short, make him unique.
